Reimer Express Drivers Earn Top Honours At Canada's National Truck Driving Championships [10/24/2001]
Winnipeg, MB. -- October 25, 2001 -- Two
Reimer Express Lines' drivers from Regina,
Saskatchewan finished first in their respective
classes at the 2001 Canadian Truck Driving
Championship, held during the month of
September in Vancouver, BC.

Larry Radons was named Grand Champion and placed first in the straight truck class and Harvey Gording placed first in the single tractor-tandem trailer competition. Both gentlemen are previous Grand Champions in fact together, these two drivers have been declared the best drivers at Canada's National Truck Driving Competition in four, of the previous eight Nationals.
Other top finishers for Reimer Express were Gord Foster, Vancouver - 2nd place, single tractor-tandem trailer and Roland Lapierre, Vancouver - 2nd place, single tractor-single trailer.
Thirty-eight drivers from across Canada represented Reimer Express in six different classes at either their regional or provincial rodeos. Each entrant had to be accident free for 12 months prior to the championships. Six of these drivers then qualified to represent their respective provinces at the Canadian Nationals, where they competed against other top-rated drivers from across the country. Reimer Express Lines' six drivers represented the largest number of qualifiers by any common carrier, or fleet owner based in Canada. At the Nationals, competitors completed a written test, a pre-trip inspection and a driving maneuverability competition.
