My Profile
Allan N. Robison is the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), as well as a member of the Board of Directors for Reimer Express Lines Ltd., a subsidiary of Roadway Express, Inc. of Akron, Ohio. He previously served as President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) from 1995 to 1997.
Allan received a B.A. in Accounting, with a minor in Economics from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He is a Certified Public Accountant and an ICC Practitioner. He started in the trucking business at the age of 11, working for his father in Reno, Nevada. He learned how to drive trucks and buses at a very young age. After graduating from BYU, he worked as a Staff Accountant at Arthur Anderson & Co. for two years. Once he received his CPA designation, he returned to his father's truck and bus business, where he experienced all aspects of the trucking industry. Upon the sale of the company in 1972, Allan joined System 99 as the controller and was promoted to Executive Vice President two years later. In 1980, he became the President of the System 99.
From 1980 to joining Reimer Express Lines in 1995, Allan held the position of President for a number of large and medium-sized trucking companies, assisting in leveraged buy-outs, merger complications and deregulation challenges facing the trucking industry. He spent 3 years in Canada, from 1990 to 1993, with Federal Industries assisting in the sale and merger of their transportation companies. This experience proved valuable for Allan, in that it gave him a significant insight into the Canadian transportation market.
Allan has seven children and ten grand children and currently serves on the Board of Governors of Scouts Canada in Ottawa. He is a Honourary Member of the Board of Directors of the Manitoba Council of Scouts of Canada. In addition Allan is involved with several duties in his church. He is a member of the Board of the Manitoba Trucking Association, Ontario Trucking Association and the Canadian Trucking Alliance (CTA), where he also serves on the Executive Committee.
