Do you have to type in a user ID and password
every time you enter ExpressWORKS®?
For version 5.03 and above, you have the ability to bypass the ID and password
log in by turning the security option off in the Tools/Options area. Simply select
the 'Disable security option' box. Previous versions do not have this capability.
What is my user name and password
to get into ExpressWORKS version 5.03 and up?
The user name and password is master, master. It is not
case sensitive.
Can I print multiple copies of bills of lading?
Yes. In version 5.03 and up you are able to specify the number of copies on
the print screen. Previous versions do not have this capability.
Do I have to register the software if I am only using the Rating
module?
No. You only have to register if you utilize the Bills of Lading module. After
60 days, the Bill of Lading option will be disabled until the program is registered.
How do I set the defaults in ExpressWORKS?
Open any screen. Complete only the information that you
want stored. Next, select from the TOOLS menu, either SYSTEM
or USER, then select MEMORIZE DEFAULTS.
You can also have the software 'memorize' a single field
on a screen by highlighting a field and using the key combination
CTRL + M. Another option is to 'memorize' the entire screen
by selecting the CAMERA icon on the toolbar. This ICON is
below the WINDOWS menu.
AA Version 5.12 and above has the option to memorize defaults for "Ship to:"
addresses.
What is my Pricing ID in ExpressWORKS?
AA is the default Pricing Program ID for any version of ExpressWORKS. It's
used to identify the Pricing Program information that is set up in the software,
such as Discounts, minimum floor charges, etc.
Prior to version 5.03, there
was an option for printing invoices and making remittance
reports in the DOS version. Are they available now?
Invoice reports are now available on my.roadway.com
through ExpressWORKS. Click on the INVOICES icon on the left-hand side under the
SHORTCUT BAR. Remittance reports can be customized within the INVOICES application
as well as the REPORTS application. Most of the options under the SHORTCUT BAR
will take you to my.roadway.com. Only
registered users can access my.roadway.com.
How do I enter a new address
into my database?
From the FILE menu, point to SUPPORT DATABASES, and then
select ADDRESS MAINTENANCE.
Select NEW to add a new address record. Enter the desired
information. The ADDRESS ID is a unique identifier for this
address only. It can be character or numeric in value, or
a combination of both. Please be sure to check the proper
ADDRESS TYPE in the upper right-hand corner.
Select SAVE to store the address record to the permanent database.
How do I delete addresses?
From the FILE menu, point to SUPPORT DATABASES, then select
ADDRESS MAINTENANCE.
From the RECORD menu, select LIST or SEARCH to find the
address record to delete.
Once the record is displayed on the screen, select DELETE. This will permanently
remove the record from the database.
How do I delete commodities?
From the FILE menu, point to SUPPORT DATABASES, then select
COMMODITIES MAINTENANCE.
From the RECORD menu, select LIST or SEARCH to find the
commodity record to delete.
Once the record is displayed on the screen, select DELETE. This will permanently
remove the record from the database.
How do I delete bills of lading?
From the FILE menu, point to SUPPORT DATABASES, then select
BILL OF LADING MAINTENANCE.
From the RECORD menu, select LIST or SEARCH to find the
bill of lading record to delete. Once the bill is displayed
on the screen, select DELETE. This will permanently remove
the record from the database.
